The Four Purposes of God’s Mountain
1 - To effectively share and encourage people to receive the gospel of Jesus Christ. 2 - To encourage people in their daily Christian walk. 3 - To enlarge the circle of Christian friends. 4 - To develop Christian leadership. _____ In 1994, Johnny Williams was introduced to Camp Grace, an abandoned boys camp, located in the beautiful bluffs south of St. Joseph, MO. The camp was in a terrible state of disrepair. After much prayer, Johnny, his wife Pam, and their children were joined by friends and volunteers and began rebuilding the camp. After countless hours of hard work, lots of help, and continual encounters of God’s provision, they held their first week of boys camp in the summer of 1995. Since then, God has provided the means and support to do amazing things at God’s Mountain. Currently God's Mountain has a full summer schedule of camps for Pre-K through high school students as well as God's Mountain Youth Retreats held throughout the school year. Our summer camps and Youth Retreats are offered at no set cost to campers. We operate and maintain our facility strictly via donations, from both our guests and our supporters. We strive to use every dime we receive in exactly the way God directs us for the ministry of God’s Mountain. We are totally dependent on the provision of the Lord and generosity of givers to help us accomplish our ministry. We are also happy to offer the facility to churches and ministry groups every weekend during the school year. For these events we do ask for a nominal reservation fee to ensure that camp is being used, since we are typically fully booked several months in advance. Our desire is to provide the facility God has entrusted to us to gospel-minded churches and ministries in an extremely cost-effective way. If you have further questions or would like to schedule an event, please call our office at (816)688-7411 or email [email protected] We are so thankful that God is still at work using God’s Mountain as a tool for sharing the Gospel. The potential for reaching young people for Christ will never end. |
